Fayetteville High School Site of Big Movie Scene Hundreds of Extras Needed! |
|
August 26th
Fayetteville residents will see some familiar faces. Golden Globe, Emmy and
two-time Tony Award winning actor Brian Dennehy, Academy and Emmy
Award nominated actress Mare Winningham, Emmy and Grammy Award
winning actress Mary Kay Place and Emmy nominated actor James
McDaniel will be in Fayetteville shooting one of the pivotal scenes in
the family movie “War Eagle, Arkansas.” Hundreds of extras are needed and should be prepared to remain several hours while the scene is being filmed. Attendees should bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, a meal, and plenty of water. Entertainment will be provided and drawings will be held for many prizes. Families are encouraged to attend, and parents should feel comfortable in bringing children – keeping in mind that it could last around 5 hours. Security will be provided for the event. The scene involves an all-star baseball game where things aren’t looking good for Enoch. Enoch’s team is down 6-2 and the coach hasn’t yet put him in the game. Enoch’s love interest, Abby, is bored. The Tennessee Southern University coaches are disappointed and Enoch’s grandfather is fuming. With little hope left, Enoch goes in and begins pitching the game of his life. After the game, Abby and Enoch share a “look” and Enoch knows he’s won her over. When the TSU coach considers a scholarship offer to Enoch, he must make a decision, which could affect the rest of his life. Attendees are encouraged to wear Razorback apparel, but should NOT wear white, tiny patterns, and most importantly, NO commercial logos. Participants should show up at the Fayetteville High School baseball field at 1001 Stone Street on August 26th no later than 7:30 p.m. They will be directed on what to do at that time.
