Dear Friends: We wrapped filming of War Eagle, Arkansas on schedule September 5, 2006. Our crew worked long days in unbearable August Arkansas heat and they were just as committed in the end as when they began, and for that I am gratefully humbled. Now, the film is in the hands of Director Robert Milazzo and Editor Ron Len in New York . It is said that a film is made three times…when it is written, when it is filmed, and when it is edited...so I know we can't wait to see the final story. I can't say enough good things about our dedicated cast. Luke Grimes and Dan McCabe did everything we asked of them and more. Brian Dennehy, Mare Winningham, Mary Kay Place , James McDaniel and Misti Traya were a pleasure to work with. All the local actors were exceptional, and Arkansas proved to be the beautiful backdrop I always knew it could be for such an intimate story of family and community. Thank you is not enough, but it is the word we use to express our appreciation. So thank you to the people and town of Eureka Springs. Thank you to all the folks who worked so hard to make the shooting of War Eagle, Arkansas such a positive experience for the cast and crew. Thank you for all the businesses who placed products or donated their goods to help make War Eagle, Arkansas come to fruition. Thank you to Fawnzi, our deer (and his handlers Jim and Cindy Orr) who made that scene come to life. Thank you Joe McClung; Thank you Lynn Berry; Thank you Bill Booker and Roller Funeral Home; Thank you Paul and all the folks at River City RV; Thank you Levi Strauss; Thank you Mountain Valley Water; Thank you Berryville Bobcats, Eureka Springs Highlanders, Harrison Goblins and Huntsville Eagles. So many more people to thank. I will stop there and just say in closing, I will work hard to make sure this film will be seen and appreciated by audiences everywhere. God Bless to all, Vincent Insalaco |
